If any part of the disc has an error for any reason (fingerprint, mastering error, extremely bad manufacturing process due to disc pressing being done by the lowest bidding chinese or mexican company, etc), then the rip will fail. When you rip a disc, you're accessing every single part of the disc.main movie, menu, trailers, special features, etc. ![]() This is a *VERY* different process than playing part of it. ![]() So when you play the main movie, that part of the disc might be ok.
